Hi, Tom.
How do I restore deleted Form AutoFormats in Access 2000?

Find a database created in Access 2000 that contains forms that were created
with the "Expedition" and "Sumi" AutoFormats, but with these formats still
in their original, pristine condition (no changes in fonts, colors, borders,
et cetera on these forms). These forms can actually be in two separate
databases, if that's all you can find. They just need to be in their
"original" AutoFormats, because you're going to copy them.

The more different types of controls on one of these forms, the better,
because these controls' styles will be copied directly, but any other
controls' styles will need to be created manually whenever the style is used
on that type of control in the future. (Don't worry. You'll be prompted
for which style you'd like to copy in the future if, for example, the
AutoFormat needs to apply the style to a check box, but the form you are
about to copy this style from in these next steps doesn't have a check box
style to copy. When prompted, you can copy the text box style to the check
box or just leave it alone.)

Open the database with these forms on the computer where these AutoFormats
are missing. Open the form with the "Expedition" format (the one with the
most diverse types of controls) in Design View. Select the Format menu ->
AutoFormat... to open the AutoFormat dialog window. Select the "Customize"
button in the lower right corner to open the Customize AutoFormat dialog
window. Select the "Create a new AutoFormat based upon Form
'TheFormYouPicked'" option and select the "OK" button to create your new
style.

Enter the name "Expedition" (or type something else if this is your own
computer) in the "Style Name:" text box and select the "OK" button to close
the dialog window. Select the "OK" button (one may be able to use the
"Cancel" button, too, but I haven't tried this in Access 2K) to close the
AutoFormat dialog window. Close the form.

Open the form with the "Sumi" format in Design View and follow the same
steps as above.

HTH.
