How do I report a bug?

as basic as they come - how do you report a Windows xp
bug? I can't find "Report a Bug" links anywhere on the
Microsoft website!

There's a silly bug on all my xp machines that's not there
under Windows 2000.

Why don't you report it here first, just to make sure it's a bug.
SOmetimes things that appear to be bugs turn out to be
misunderstandings of how it's supposed to work.

Greetings --

Well, WinXP _is_ a different operating system from Win2K, after
all. Why would you expect the two to be identical? There are a lot
of ways in which WinXP differs from Win2k. What is this particular
"difference" that you find so alarming?

please see the new thread at 4:32pm 5th July for details
of this Windows xp bug.

If no one responds, then the question remains - how
to "officially" report a bug to Microsoft?!

Just FYI, posting the time of your post doesn't do any good, as the time
shown on each users computer is local time. If someone is in your time zone,
the time is good, but if they're in any other zone, the time will be off by
that number of hours.
