I'd like to know if there is a step to take out the "unread mail messages" underneath my log-in name in the Welcome screen. I've tried looking everywhere for an option to uncheck this feature if there is any .... unless I'd have to tinker with regedit to do it, then I'd so much appreciate the help.

Many thanks in advance,
Zaida

One way is via TweakUI (for XP). If this is not
installed on your system, then download it from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Note: V2.10.0.0 needs Windows XP SP 1

If you do not have SP1, the earlier version of TweakUI can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

In TweakUI, navigate to...

- Logon
- Unread Mail
