I accidentally answered yes to make my toolbar ask. com and it was so slow. Couldn't figure out how to get it backed off, so I went w/ removing avira ( my free av)

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, it is a good AV;)and it is free as well. I have never had a problem with it and many on this site use it as well

What OS are you running ?

If you are on XP, then goto control panel > Add/Remove programs > Select the ask toolbar and uninstall it.
If you're using Windows 7, then goto Control Panel > Programs and Features > Select ask toolbar and uninstall it.
