How do I remove taskbar icons?

I would like to remove some taskbar icons and their
associated applications from loading on startup. NOTE: I'm
not referring to icons that point to program shortcuts in
a Startup folder. Those are easy to remove. I'm referring
to icons that get added to the taskbar during
installation, but don't show up in any Startup folder.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello.... Win2K does not *have* MSConfig. (It should, but Microsoft
ditched it.) So, without that, how does one get rid of those annoying
SysTray icons?

Uset he startup tab of msconfig (start>run>msconfig).

Hi Steven.

You should be able to copy the msconfig file from your windows xp and run it
under windows 2000

Then how do I get msconfig?

Thanks, New

Searching google or perusing the newsgroups, you'll find links. I'm sure.
