I have found that I don't really have a need for the business contact
manager, and I would like to remove the prompts. How do I remove the contact
manager, but maintain my outlook integrity.

Just go to Add/Remove programs in the Control panel and take out BCM.
Probably would want to uninstall the SQL server desktop engine also unless
you have something else that needs it.

Thank you very much!

When I look in the add/remove programs - the only thing listed is Outlook
2003 with Business Contact manager. I do not wish to remove my outlook, just
the business contact manager. Is there a way to remove the business contact
manager without doing damage to Outlook?

Thank you.

in my add/remove program i have MS outlook under Ms Office and have one says
Business Contact manager for outlook

in your case i would say try to click on change bottom or change/remove bottom
next to Outlook 2003 with Business Contact manager see if you can modify it
from there
to remove contact manager

well, that only asks me to remove Outlook 2003 with Business Contact manager.
Is my last resort to remove it and reinstall? Thanks for your help.

I did find BCM in Control Panel. Where do I find "SQL server destop engine"
and what do I do with that?

I recenlty had to remove and reinstall BCM several times with the help
of Microsoft Tech Support. In each case removing Outlook with BCM only
removed BCM and left Outlook intact. I had the same reservations about
removing it because of the naming convention. However, if you do a
back up of your data (.pst file) and settings (there's a MS utility
that will do some of that, I think, or use Outback Plus) then even if
it were to remove OL your data will be intact and easily restored.

Good luck!

it says Microsoft SQL server Desktop Engine under add/remove programs
and why do you want to delete that, i dont know what it does but i am keeping.
