I have recently had some problems with my printer. I did get a warning of a
trojan virus some weeks ago but according to Norton it did not get into my
system and is not on my PC.

However my printer (HPK80) does sometimes do some strange things. Although
I do not think there is a connection I would like to remove all the current
driver files and then reinstall.

However when I try to remove/uninstall the drivers the printer still
appears in devices etc.

How can I remove the lot? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Any advise welcome.

virus's usually do not affect printers, although they can affect networked printers, if it is a local printer, you may just have a flaky printer driver which you can reinstal, to get the latest driver go to their website.
