How do I remove a reminder that won't delete?

I have a user who is getting a reminder for a meeting that is long past, and
the user that generated the meeting request initially no longer is employed
here. When he clicks on the "dismiss" button, he is prompted with an alert
that says something like "Could not delete, you may be reminded again.
Cannot dismiss, end date occurs before start date."

How do I get rid of this reminder?

I just fixed this exact same problem on a users mailbox too. The user was
ABSOLUTELY sure that the meeting no longer existed. Went through all the
/cleanfreebusy, /cleanreminders, etc. steps to no avail ... looking at the
reminder in the pop-up, got as many details (subject, possible date,
location, etc.), then wen to Calendar. Changed view to BY CATEGORY and sure
enough, found the meeting subject (sort by subject). Deleted this calendar
item, the reminder disappeared. Closed/Opened Outlook several times,
reminder never appeared again.
 
Can you help me get rid of a Task reminder in Schedule+ 1.0? I am
aboslutely sure the task has been deleted but the reminder pops up
every time I open the program.
