Hi Helen :-)
I believe that my internet explorer has been tampered with. I no longer
can
access the internet on this computer. How do I reinstall Internet
Explorer?

You need to give us more details of the problem that this, and most
important;y, which version of Windows you are using.

What do you mean you can't access the Internet? What happens when you try?
Any error messages? If so, what is the exact wording?

I am using windows xp with sp2.
I just tried to reinstall windows with the disk that came with the computer.
The error message is that the page can not be found.
(I have unplugged this computer and using another computer downloaded what I
thought was IE6, but when I tried to install it on the computer, it said that
a newer version was already installed on the computer.)

Any ideas?

Hi Helen :-)

Yes...that happens with a reinstall. IE in XP is not a separate program
like in previous versions, it s a core part of the XP program itself, so I
can't be uninstalled.

Try the following to repair the install file so it will over ride the error
and allow you to reinstall it:

Kelly's site has a fix which changes the IsInstalled flag value to 0. =
This enables reinstallation of IE.

Just download and double-click, then proceed to reinstal IE.

Hope this helps.

Hope someone can help. I use amongst others, my cellphone via bluetooth and
cable to connect to the internet. Had no problems up to now, but all of a
sudden, IE and Outlook does not see the connection made through GPRS via my
cellphone. Cannot be cellphone manufacturer problem as I've tried both
Sony-Ericsson and Nokia phones. Also, the connection is definitely made as it
appears in the system icon tray, indicating that it is connected and also the
connection speed. Will appreciate help!! Tnx

I am having the same problem.

I spent a couple of days working thru kelly's instructions, but kept running
into problems. I still can't get IE working.

XP SP2 - IE6 - SP2
I get 'the page cannot be displayed' error, but I have a connection.

Any other ideas?

Hi,
Can other programs connect? Outlook Express or another browser?
