Hi,
I am having a crazy problem with IE6. When I use Fedex.com
the whole thing crashes. The only reason I can think of is
that I installed Burn4free shareware which put some
malaware on the computer. I have deleted it and cleaned
the computer with both spybot and adaware. I have tried
installing before cleaning the computer service pack 2 but
it still keeps on happening.
I don't want to reinstall windows and go through the whole
rigmarole.

Please help if anyone can. I would really appreciate it if
I could do a clean install of IE6.

Regards,

Darryl

There are places in the FAQ area that tell you how to uninstall IE but you
have to watch its affect on MS Office. They tell you what to watch there in
the tech notes. Try that. I know that there is a place to get the whole
install package off the internet and when I find it again, I will send it to
you.

where is the faq area?

Hi Darryl :-)

I suggest that you do the following:

1. If you still have the SP2 on your system, uninstall it for now:

2. What to Know Before You Download and Install Windows XP Service Pack 2

You may still have some type of malware, spyware or parasites on your
system. Do the following to make sure that your system is completely free of
any of these before going to step 3. Follow all instructions carefully, as
some types of malware can replicate themselves over and over if not cleaned
properly.

Be sure to run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
Also be sure to use the HijackThis. Please do not post your log to this

evaluate your log and advise you of the necessary steps to clean your
system.

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of the programs
below, download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
