Hi. I have never reformatted and reinstalled an operating system before. Can
anyone list the procedure to do this, or a weblink with directions on how to
accomplish this? About the only thing I know that I have to do is to unhook
everything except for the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Go here. Follow closely:

Turn on that firewall BEFORE EVER connecting to the Internet and downloading
patches!

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD and pay careful
attention to the on-screen instructions and prompts. You'll be
offered the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as
part of the installation process.
