How do I recreate unread messages folder I accidentally erased?

I was trying to delete a bunch of mail, and I accidentally erased the Unread
Messages folder from my favorites in outlook. How do I regenerate this
folder in favorites? Step by step, please!

Also is there a way to protect it... like the junk folder, so I can right
click and erase the contents without hurting the folder?
 
Unread Mail is one of the default search folders and is easy to re-create:

Create a Search Folder

If it still exists, but isn't in Favorite Folders, right click it and select
"Add to Favorite Folders"
