how do I recovery a cancelled recurring series in the calendar?

I cancelled a recurring item not knowing that it would cancel all previous
appointmens in the series. I really need to recovery those old ones due to
notes in the appointment text area. Please HELP!

Restore from a recent backup. I believe as it is, your data is gone.
 
Thanks Brian. Could not recovery. Will require too much time for our IMO to
pull down backups from server.

That is the one problem I hate about reoccurring meetings. It shouldn't
delete past meetings.

Recurring events are single entries in the calendar, not one entry per
recurrence. Deleting the event reletes everything about the event. If you
want to keep past items but end the event, export it to a csv, cancel or
delete, then import from the CSV. It will be imported as the past
individual recurrences, one event per recurrence.
