Hi ALl
Using XP with SP3.
The file where I keep my pictures denies me access to it and displays a
message to the effecct that the file is either write protected or the disk is
full.
Both are news to me! - the disk has over 100 gig free space
I have checked through the file options and cant find an on / off option to
undo the protection.
As the photos are also backed up elsewhere I tried to re-format the disk and
got a similar message!
Has anyone met this prob before and a solution.

Please post the exact (word-for-word) message you get.

Also - when you say 'file' - do you mean a folder/directory or a
single/individual file?

might try safemode.
