I recently ran the default System Overview log from within the Counter
Logs of the Performance Monitor on Windows 2000 Advanced. The file
created is a binary file called System_Overview.blg. Unfortunatly
there is no obvious way to view this file as is or to convert it into
a usable form. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

JR Cresswell

Perfmon, right click on the graph (in system monitor), select properties, go
to the source tab and put in the log file.

If you want to work with your blg data into an other tool than perfmon, (such as Excel) you can convert your blg file to a CSV file using a little exe. You can find a sample sorce of this program in the MSDN at
ms-help://MS.MSDNQTR.2004JAN.1033/perfmon/base/transferring_data_from_a_perfmon_format_log_file_to_a_csv_format_log_file.ht

You have to compile it.

I could not access the utility that converts perfmon blg to csv. Doe
anyone know the updated URL for the same.

Thanks,
- Sudhin.
