i am trying to put my portrit into landscape but i cant seem to find the
right tool please help asap

Lizzie,
File - Page-setup - on the Margins tab - click the landscape button - be
aware that the change will be applied to the whole document, all pages will
be affected. If you do not want that you can change it in the apply to list
at the bottom of the dialog. Choose from this point on and you will get a new
section in the document with a landscape page. The other pages will remain in
portrait.

To change the page orientation for the current selection, do the following:
In the Page Setup dialog box, on the Margins tab, click "Landscape," and
then choose "Selected text" for "Apply to."

If you want the whole document in landscape orientation, choose "Whole
document" for "Apply to."

When you are done, click OK.

To open the Page Setup dialog box:

- Click File | Page Setup (Word 97--2003).

- On the Page Layout tab of the ribbon, click the dialog launcher button
(the arrow on the bottom right) of the Page Setup group.
