In my music folder, I am trying to set up folders of bands
along with the other mp3s. I want both the files and
folders in alphabetical order. Whenever I create a new
folder, it automatically goes to the top of the list and I
cannot move it. For example, I want the Metallica folder
where the "m"'s are, not at the beginning of the list.
Any help would be great. Thanks, John

Is this what you want to do: In the main music folder,
right click and select arrange, then select the way you
want.

top. I am using windows xp and i cant seem to find a way
to do it

Hi, I do not have a top bar that says name on XP. I will
try to get one there but not sure if it can be done. Any
other suggestions?

You really should have a top bar that says name, type, size, date
modified... ? Click name to sort alphabetically. Folders will come
first, however.

Hi,
Well I just figured out how to get the name, type, etc on
the top. I usually have everything in list view, but the
top bar is only on the details view. I guess there is no
way to get the folders away from the top. I found out that
if you have them set up in group view, then they are put
into alphabetical groups, which I think is the best way to
do it. Thanks for your help, John
