How do I promote a calendar to be my main calendar?

I've just upgraded to a new notebook, but Outlook 2007 hasn't made what was
previously my main calendar my main calendar. If that makes sense. Can I
correct this on my notebook, or is it an Exchange problem?

Thanks for taking the time to post a reply, but that doesn't help me - I've
got two Calendars now appearing in "My Calendars" called Calendar. One
contains all the appointments that were previously in my main calendar, the
other is empty - but the empty one is what Outlook tells me is the main
calendar.

I want to either promote my existing calendar to be the main calendar, or
move all the appointments from the existing calendar to the main calendar.

tools, accts, data file tab - what data file is set as the default? if you
have an exchange acct, that should be the default.

Thanks for this reply Diane; I suspect it is the root of the problem. The
Exchange account isn't default; it's outlook (1).ost stored on my laptop.
This is probably because some time ago I decided to keep a local copy of the
PST file on my laptop, as I often need to catch up with email on the train.

Since moving to the new laptop, all my PST and OST files seem to have been
renamed archive (1).pst (for example). So I guess there was a problem copying
the files when I upgraded.

Any help would still be appreciated, but I appreciate this may be getting
too complicated.

Try setting the Exchange acct as default. If you are using an ost (offline
folder for Exchange) you can still work on the train - every thing will be
in the ost. If you use outlook 2003 or 2007 and use cache mode, everything
is local.
