I work at a HelpDesk and am unable to find the option to print an animated
gif on one slide with each animation printing as a separate slide. Any
ideas? Do I have to purchase an Add-in to do this? I believe it used to be
an option in PowerPoint 97 but haven't found the equivalent in PPT XP. Thank
you.

You can't print an animated GIF and never could. You would need to open the GIF
file in an animation application like Animation Shop and then save each frame as
an image and then print the image.

I think you are remembering printing custom animations in PowerPoint, which is
quite a different thing and has nothing to do with animated GIFs. Let us know
if you really want to print PowerPoint animations.

Printing a series of animations was discontinued in PPT 2002 and remains
unavailable in PPT 2003. However, I don't think that that option would have
helped you print an animated GIF, anyway.

You can try Shyam's Capture Show add-in, though.
http://www.mvps.org/skp/cshow.htm It should be available again in the next
couple of weeks.
