Hi,

When I click on a linked document on a web page, it launches the actual
application and then opens the file within the application. How do I change
my settings so that it just opens the document within Internet Explorer and
not in the application?

Many thanks,

Mia

Hi,
Go to Control Panel> Folder options> File types> DOC or XLS (as examples)>
Advanced> check "Browse in same window." For PDF files the setting is in
Adobe Reader> Edit> Preferences> Internet.

Hope this helps,

Don:

On a couple of my machines this option is disabled (grayed out) for all
file types. How do I enable this option?

TIA
