How do I point Outlook to a pst file other than that used by default ?
Vince Averello said:Do you want to use the other PST as the default or simply open it?
Vince Averello said:Try setting it in the Control Panel > Mail applet. I'd give you the full
path but I've got OL2007 on this machine and its changed

I habe just a tab "Mail" with the list of mail accounts. Also there are
buttons Add, Remove, Properties, Set as default (relevant to an account,
not to a file), Import (an internet account as an iaf file), Export and
Close.
OS is Win 2000, SP2
Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711),Internet Mail Only

from
version to version.
Now that you know the version, what is the cure?

place - otherwise I think I could just replace the default file with
another one.
I want to use a pst file from a Flash memory stick.
I work from several non-linked computers so I travel with this pst file on
a
Flash memory stick.
- Choose PropertiesFolder List)

- File menu > Open > Personal Folders file > migrate to the new PST file
location to open it
- Right-click on the root of the new set of folders in the folder pane (View- Choose PropertiesFolder List)
- Check the "Deliver POP mail" box
- Quit & restart Outlook
- Now you can Close the PST file that you were previously using (R-click on
that pst folder while in Folder View and select "Close <foldername>
Folders"). If you have any information in your former PST that you'd like to
transfer to your new default PST, you can drag and drop from one to the
other before you close the old one.

instructions somewhere.
