Could someone inform me please on how to configure
Internet Explorer 6.0 to Open tif/tiff files in the
Appropriate WINDOWS 2000 Program (Kodak Imaging for
Windows)instead of in Internet Explorer 6.0? The closest
article I could find to this at the Microsoft site was -
How to Configure Internet Explorer to Open Office
Documents in the Appropriate Office Program Instead of in
Internet Explorer.

Unfortunately the methods listed there did not help at
all. Control Panel -> Folder Options -> File Types->
Advance -> Deselecting Browse in same window - does not
work. In my case this option is already grayed out. I am
at the University of Florida and need to allow several
departments to view document images (tif files) from the
web via their Imaging for Windows program which comes
standard with Windows 2000. If anyone can explain how to
do this IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Right now, the
tif file continues to appear in the IE browser instead of
launching the Imaging for Windows application. This is
despite the fact that the Browse in same window option
under File Types in the Folder Options dialog box is
turned off. Please Assist.

Thank you,
ERIC.

Right-click on the tif file with the shift button held
down (for single-click - click the tif file once then
right-click it with the shift button down). On the context
menu should be 'Open With', click it

When the open with dialog box appears & choose IExplorer,
making sure the check box is ticked (Always open this
