How do I open personal folders in outlook web access?

I am logging into Outlook Web Access under my work VPN but am not able to
open up my boss's personal calendar which I'm able to do at work. When I call
my helpdesk they say there should be a "File" and "Open" option to open the
folder, but when I click on that I get an open field to enter a file name or
address. Is it possible to access my boss's personal calendar (.pst folder)
from this? I thought everything mirrored my desktop since I'm VPN-ing in, so
what am I doing wrong? Any assistance would be great.

Thanks!
JEANDEJL

You would need to use a URL like this to access the boss' calendar on the Exchange server:

https://domain.com/exchange/bossalias/calendar/

But if it's in a .pst file, it will not be accessible in OWA at all.

FYI, the instructions they gave you apparently are those for desktop Outlook, not OWA.

Thank you for your response, that's helpful. However, is there a way I can
log in and not have Web Access come up? Is there a way to get into a regular
Outlook window so I can pull up the .pst calendar?

Thanks,
JEANDEJL

You would need to run Outlook and create a mail profile. It doesn't have to have a mail account in it.

You will also need to be able to access the drive where the boss stores the .pst file. Once you have that set up, you can follow the instructions you got from your help desk.

I am experiencing a similar problem in that I am able to access my account
under Outlook Web Access, but when I click on the "Folders" icon on the top
left, I can only access "Public Folders". I can't open any personal folders
as they don't even appear. I believe the problem has something to do with
the Temporary Internet File Size within IE 6.0 (and 7.0 for that matter) as
this file size continues to be re-set automatically to a low value each time
I open IE Explorer. I continue to increase the size but then the file size
is reset to a low value and concurrently, I can't open any personal folders
in Outlook WEb Access. Any suggestions?

What URL are you using? What version of Exchange server?

FYI, the forum for OWA questions is microsoft.public.exchange.clients.

Makes no difference. I do believe the problem is associated with the
installation of "Google Accelerator" because the Temp Int File Size is
continuously being reduced when Google Accelerator is active.

Sounds like you've found the solution.
