how do I open a .pps file in Outlook Express?

I have downloaded the Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer and can us it to
open .pps files stored on my hard disk. However, when I receive a .pps file
as an attachment to an email, I encounter a problem when I click on the
attachment to open it. I use Outlook Express for my mail handler.

Specifically, when I click on the attachment I'm asked if I want to open it.
When I click to open the file, the PowerPoint screen flashes but I
immediately get an error screen that says:

Microsoft Office Power Point Viewer

PowerPoint Viewer cannot find the file Documents

When I click "OK" the same screen repeats with the word and, then Local,
then Temporary, then Internet, and finally, the filename/extension (e.g.,
PrettyPictures.pps).

I have uninstalled the viewer and reinstalled several times in an effort to
correct this problem but that doesn't help. How can I correct this situation?

Thanks, Bill, your reply led to the solution. Sonjacoleman.com provided a fix
to the register (pvregfix.exe) that lets the PowerPoint Viewer work from
Outlook Express.
