I Recently Purchased A computer and it came withWindows XP
all ready installed. and The HD is partioned into to two
drives But I do not want this, AS I want to cusomize my pc
by adding second drive and so on. But I do not have a CD
Containg the orignal MS OS on it. What Con I do To obtain
this cd?

Hi

Have you tried contacting the company that supplied your PC to see if they
can help? Otherwise you will need to purchase a full retail version of XP.
Please note, if you opt for the latter your warranty 'may' be invalidated -
depending on the company and their policies.

You can add a second drive without the need to eliminate the partition that
enables you to recover your system, and you don't need an XP cd to do it
either.. just add the second drive as a slave to the primary drive..

Hi,

You are meaning that the original drive has two partitions. You can easily
combine them using BING, etc. As for adding slaving another drive, this has
nothing to do with your operating system.

As for the partitions, it is good advice to install/save all that you can to
another partition in case the directory partition does fall into havoc, thus
making the recovery process easier and quicker.
