I opened some page and filled it with text. Now I want to take a photo, make
it a thumbnail and insert it insto the side of the text block. I can't
figure out how to do this without creating a big white space (the height of
the thumbnail) that fills the entire lines the pic is lying on. What do I
do?

Right click the picture and under Picture Properties choose Left or right depending on which sid
eyou want it on.

Nope. WHen I do that I still have a bunch of white space to the left or
right of the picture that I can't write it.

You may have to move the picture higher or lower - insert it into the end
of another paragraph, and with the left or right positioning, it WILL move
over to the sides.

You can do this as a test.

Fill up an entire page with text. All the way from left to right and top to bottom. Just copy a
word and pste it in about 100 times.

Then insert the picture in the middle and change the setting and ou should see how it works.

COuld be you also need to set the text to right or left justify or something else.

Otherwise can you post a URL so we can see what's happening?
