What is the best way to network 10 win XP pro? All have same ISP.
Got links??

Please give more details about what you are trying to do. Is this a home
network or are you trying to set up an office? With 10 networked boxen,
you are at the upper limit for making connections without using a
server os. If this is for an office, you'd be better off setting up a
server (Win2k3) with WinXP Pro clients. Post back for more help. Can't
give you links without knowing what you're wanting to do.

First there will be no file sharing.Only a minimal reports and
newsletter sharing that can be done by email.
What I am trying to figure is cost effectiveness to have 10 differnet
locations either on their own dialup/dsl or on one network internet
access. Also each location has an older win98 or ME.So I am looking at
approx 20 computers to access the internet.
This may be too complicated for a simple internet access.I will
probably leave enough alone. But if anyone has any ideas.
The locations are too far for cable or wireless.

Sorry, but it's still unclear what you want to do. Are you thinking
about whether it is cheaper to have all of these far-flung computers on
a corporate network (WAN) as opposed to having them all separately
using different ISP's and connecting to the central office? From the
rather scanty information you provide, I'd have to suggest a setup
where you have 1 central server running a server os - Win2k3 or linux.
Talk to a local networking ISP about setting up dsl service to each of
your offices and making a WAN, if appropriate. If there is no reason
for a corporate central server, then you might still call up a local
ISP and see if you can get a discount with 20 accounts.Since you have
some difficulty explaining *exactly* what you are trying to do in a
posting, you'd be best off contacting a local networking firm and
talking to them.
