I use Windows Live Mail. How do I move my mail and folders from my old
computer to my new computer? I thought it would be as simple as signing in
on my new computer, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Do you use Windows Live Mail on both computers? What operating systems on
each computer?

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do the things in the tutorial. Should I
use the old computer to export? or the new computer to import? I'm totally
lost.

Thanks so much!

No problem Helen. You will Export the WLM messages from your old
computer to a folder, then place that folder on a CD/DVD or USB device.
You will take that to your new computer and Import them into WLM.

One more thing...do I have to install Windows Live Mail on the old computer
before I transfer the account information and the messages? AND, since I'm
exporting the ACCOUNTS also, will I need to do anything regarding accounts on
the new mail?

I have WLM on the old one. I have exported the accounts and the messages. I
have installed WLM on the new computer. It looks like the only thing I can
import is my messages. In that case should I set up the accounts before I
import the messages? What a mess. I don't understand why they would allow
you to export both your messages and your accounts, but allow you to import
just your messages.

There were 7 folders in the Messages Folder. Should I have opened the
folder and copied each one separately? or is it ok just to save the "folder"
on the CD?
