How do I move archive files in the All Mail Folders list?

I have a number of archive folders in the panel at the left side of the page
that's labeled All Mail Folders. However, I'd like to see them in a different
order.

Outlook seems to let me drag them up or down in the list, but it won't let
me drop them at the right place in the list. It seems to think I want to move
an archive file inside another archive file, which is not what I'm trying to
do.

For example, I start out with:
Data File A
Data File B
Data File C

and I want to end up with:
Data File C
Data File A
Data File B

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Thansk for your suggestion, but I don't understand how that would solve my
problem. I want to keep the same names but have Outlook show them in a
different order. I don't want to call a file C when it's really A.

Does Outlook always sort the names in alphabetical order? Maybe that's the
problem. If so, I guess there's no way to do what I want to do.

I don't think you can other than by renaming them. Why is it so important?

The reason I want to do it is that I've got a bunch of archive folders, and I
want the ones that I access most frequently at the top of the list.

I do have a couple of folders under Favorite Folders, so that partly solves
the problem.

I wouldn't say it's "so important". It's really no big deal -- but I just
assumed that there was an easy way to reorder the All Mail Folders list, and
I just couldn't figure out how to do it. But if there's no way to do it, I
can deal with that. I didn't realize that the list has to be in alphabetical
order.

Thanks for your help.
