Hi

I've just moved from an XP machine to a Vista Business machine.

On my XP box I had all the tools to manage AD, DNS, DHCP etc. I can't
remember how I set these up but I do remember that it was a bit convoluted.

My question is - How can I set myself up on a Vista client with all the
tools to manage AD, DNS, DHCP that are running on other servers?

TIA

I believe the adminpak from 2003 sp1 will work. You can download it at:

The W2K3 adminpak will install, although not all of the modules properly
register. Microsoft's position while Vista was still in Beta was
(paraphrasing), "The ADUC snap-in does not work in Vista, but a Vista
version of the toolpak will be available by the time Vista is released".
Never happened AFAIK. Running the batch file from the link posted by
MyWeb works after you install the adminpak. Be sure to get the correct
version (32 or 64 bit). I had to do this several times to get it to
work, and I'm not really sure what I did differently to make it go.
