how do I make the personal folders calendar the default in outlook

I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2003 on an exchange server. My palm Pilot
syncs with the calendar on the personal folders list and likewise for my
tasks. The default now puts the calendar under the main collection inbox
(Live exchenge one).
How do i make the personal folders calendar the default?
 
Change your delivery location to Personal Folders. First, check with your
Exchange admin to verify that this is allowable under company policy. Many
companies require the delivery to be to the Exchange mailbox to enable
viewing/sharing of folders, such as the calendar.

That took care of it. As long as my email is set to come into personal
folders, then all other functions also default to personal folders. many
thanks.

in the last week that has caused my new accepted mettings/appointment to be
kelp in the local pst file (Personal Folders) and not in the Calendar folder
on the exchange server. I am not doubting that I may have done something to
cause this, but I cant seem to make the accepted appointments default to the
server and not the local PST file.

I checked my delvery settings and they are mapped to the server folders.

What version of Outlook? If 2002 or 2003, check under Tools->Options->Mail
Settings->View or Change. Select your default account and see what is
showing in the dropdown for delivery location. If it is personal folders,
change it to Exchange mailbox.

I have done this.. THe mail does go into the exchange mailbox.. I have rules
that then move the new mail into local folders.. Prior to a week ago, even
though the calendar items were moved to the local PST file, they would appear
on the server calendar. Now it is dependant on where the calendar item is
when I accept the appointment.

If the appointment is in the exchange mailbox it will go into the server
calendar, if its in the local PST file it goes into that PST file's calendar
folder..

THis has been my mode of operation for almost 2 years now starting in
Outlook2000 and moving to 2003 about 4 months ago.

My current workaround is to alter my rules to leave all appointments in the
server(exchange) inbox and only move the email. This allows me to
accept/decline appointments and keep them in the correct calendar. But I
dont like the extra step.

I have almost exact situation as Mike. I have a rule that sends email to a
personal folder and until recently, had no issue with meeting requests
appearing in the calendar for the personal folder.

Then about 3 weeks ago, I started missing some meetings that I had accepted.
In attempting to troubleshoot I noticed they were in the personal folder
calendar. As a workaround, I have disabled the rule. I will now have to be
more vigilent in moving emails to personal folder, as we have a 15M limit in
Exchange.

Could a recent Office Update have caused this? I'm on Outlook 2003, and I
think Exchange 2003. We are running AD. I can think of no other variable
except perhaps a recent update.

I've got the same prob. All appointments go to my personal calendar, even
though I have the default to go to exchange for email. I cannot figure out
how to change this. I'm running Outlook 2003. Please help.

I'm running Outlook 2007 and started having the same identical problem two
weeks ago. Weird. From the server, everything is there. From my cached or
even on-line viewing from a workstation, no appointments after 9/29/08 are
there. (Those appointments were all on the calendar prior to two weeks
ago...but so were some of the new ones that don't show up.)
