how do i make tally for bridge games

If you mean a score sheet you take a piece of paper and draw a long vertical
line with a short horizontal line crossing it about two thirds of the way
down. At the top, if I remember, you write "We" to the left of the vertical
line and "They" to the right.

If you mean something else I'm afraid it's so long since I have played the
game that I don't know what it might be - and apparently you don't know how
to put it into words either.

Judging from some pages that came up in Google, Publisher must once have
provided a template for bridge tallies, but there doesn't seem to be one in
Publisher 2003, nor is there anything offered at
http://office.microsoft.com/templates/default.aspx?

Tony left out a few important steps.

1. First open a new blank document.
2. Print it.
Then you can proceed as Tony suggested.

Be sure to save your tally sheet document in case you need to make some
more ;-)
