I know how to do it 'procedurally' - but when I click 'yes' to make Firefox
the default browser, then check to see if it is, it is NOT my default
browser...

Please help!

Thanks.

Simple procedure. Just go to your Firefox settings and select the box that
asks if you want it to be the default browser. Go to Internet Explorer and
do the same thing. The other way is to go into your Control Panel and
select Default Programs and take it from there.

hi oldsarge,

doesn't work - not in on my vista hp computer for some reason. once i set
firefox to default browser, it doesn't take the setting. i tried what you
said in default programs too, but i couldn't 'uncheck' the default stuff
under internet explorer. so i'm still looking for the answer.

thanks though.
