Is there a way to make a folder or individual emails private, ie put a
password on it? When I open mail, all the downloaded email can be read by
anyone. Just want a bit more privacy.
Thanks

There is no password on the email program.
For true privacy you should log out of your Windows user session when
you are done using the computer. Even if the email program had a
password, a casual visitor with access to your Windows session would
still be able to see your Documents and Pictures, and a savvy person
could use Notepad to read your emails since they are simple text files.

a thin level of protection is provided by:

which I have been using....but what Gary says below should be the overriding
wisdom if you are very serious about private email

During setting account, just don't save the password. So everytime you open
WM, it will request the password before you can open your email...
