How do I make declined meetings visible in calendar

When I decline a meeting in Calendar, I would like it to still be visible
(maybe with a different color) so I can go back and accept it if my schedule
changes.

Accepting the meeting is what puts it on you calendar. This allows the
Organizer track (accepts and declines) for the meeting. If you decline the
meeting it is stating you are not going to attend and therefore would have
no need to put on your calendar.

Perhaps if we knew the purpose of wanting to keep an item on the calendar
that you do not wish to attend e.g. tracking others meeting etc.

Regards,

Accept it as tentative.
