To the group,
I'm creating an 'output' worksheet file that needs to pull data from other xls. files. The source files have defined names for the required data item. For example, the source files have a defined name called 'sales'. The source files are all identical (they're 'input sheets'), except of course for their file names.
I need the 'output' file to make reference to the named cells in the 'input' files WITHOUT any 'links'. So far, I've been able to only create an output cell with the name of the source file, but have been UNABLE to create a formula that references the named cells in the input sheets WITHOUT creating those pesky, annoying links to the source file.
I KNOW there is a way to do this (I remember seeing files at my old job that did this) but i still cannot figure out HOW!!!
Please help!
