how do I lock a background on slidemaster

Hi All-
I have created a an image and set it as the background on the slidemaster, I
am now trying to find a way to stop it being editable in the master view ie
lock/embed/flatten it... is this even possible?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
Try Format | Background | Fill Effects | Picture. It's not completely
ineditable, but it's sure a lot more of a pain to do so.
