How do I link an index to the relevant page in a word document?

Really basic stuff, a simple word doc with index that needs to be linked to
the relevant page in the book. All the help entries tell you how to link to
other programmes but I need word within word.

You need to create a bookmark for each page that appears in the index, then
create a hyperlink in the index.
