In "My Computer", Properties, it says I have Microsoft Windows XP
Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1. But if I go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx, it says there: "Your
computer has already been upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)". So
how can I find out which is right, and why is one of them displaying
incorrect information?

That fixed it, thanks - though I wonder why Microsoft make things so
difficult? :-)

| Dave;
| Then you have Service Pack 1 or an incomplete installation of SP-2.
| Get the Network Installation of SP-2, Step 1 on this link:
| http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm
| Follow the above checklist to help be sure the computer is ready for SP-2.
