How do I know what extension will be assigned when I choose to MAKE A MOVIE?

I can't find the answer to this in Help or anything else.

Please give me the extension created for each option.

It tells you right in the list of options (click the radio button next to
"more options" and then open the drop down list) The majority of them create
WMV files but the recommendation if planning to create a DVD or VCD is to
select DV-AVI instead which will obviously create an AVI file.

I'm missing something guys.
I click on File/Save Movie and I don't get a "more options" window.

What do I need to do?

To save as movie, use menu File -> "Save MOVIE As"
or press key Ctrl-P
or use the "Save to my computer" under "Finish Movie" step on the left
hand task bar.

In the Save Movie wizard, first screen allows you to select a name for
the saved movie and the next screen is "Movie Settings". Click on "Show
more options..." and you will have all the different options to select.
Select DV AVI from the drop down box and complete the remaining steps.

I've got a VIDEO in the story board that I've been modifying.
I want to save it as an AVI file.
I can't make what you're describing work for me....

Any suggestions??
 
I've been through the tutorial.
When I do the "Tasks" function and go down to save the movie I get 5
choices:
My Computer, Recordable CD, E-mail, The Web and TV Camera.

I want to save it as an AVI file and I never see that choice.
Where is it???????????

I've been looking for this answer for quite awhile.

I've saved your Tutorial in my Favorites and will really put it to use.
The other tutorial didn't make clear how to do this.
