How do i keep two word docs opened at the same time?

II don't know how to keep tho docs openned at the same time. When i open one,
the other one gets closed, which is very annoying when i need to work with
docs simultaneously. Any help is greately appreciated. Thank you.

That's not Word (maybe WordPAD), because Word doesn't
act that way.
