Hello,

I am not a computer hardware expert so I might be missing something. How
do I install Windows 2000, from its bootable CD [IDE DVD-ROM drive], to
computer (ASUS K8V SE Deluxe; 512 MB; Athlon 64 3200+ 754 CPU)? The
installer was unable to find any HDDs. I think the HDD is SATA because I
see VIA SATA BIOS and I use Hyperion 4in1 Pro drivers. XP Pro. is fine
on this computer.

Thank you in advance. :)

Did you load the device driver for the SATA controller during setup (by
pressing F6)?

No, I wasn't aware of this. Where do I get the SATA controller? VIA?

Thanks. I got it installed. Man, this is frustrating to get all these
drivers! I guess the motherboard and its onboard motherboard are too new
for Windows. Also, need to fix video, sound, etc. :(

Yep Windows 2000 was never aware of serial ATA.
