I have had a computer built by a personal builder, when I first got the pc it
was fine later I started getting messages saying that my copy of windows may
not be real, I have since found the builder and purchased the coa and now
want to install it so that I can get on with my life and be free of these
messages I get daily upon startup, what do I do and how do I go about doing
it? Thank anyone and everyone for any assistance you can and will provide me.

The Genuine Advantage Product Key Update Tool is only valid for
users attempting to change their current non-genuine Product Key
to a genuine COA sticker or genuine Product Key - all without a reinstall! http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=50346&clcid=0x409

You need to see http://www.microsoft.com/piracy. A COA is required for all installations of Windows operating systems. One should have been provided when the system was built, you should not have had to go back and purchase another one.

You can also e-mail (e-mail address removed) with the builders information.

And last, but not least, call 800-R-U-LEGIT.
