Hi,

I am trying to load a program (adobe acrobat 6) and it's
requesting me to install the service pack "but" the
sp3express.exe will not install if you are off-line. My
modem card is no-good (must get a new one) but in the mean
time, the SP3 note that appears during the failed attempt
to install, tells me to go to microsoft and get the
service pack for installing off-line. Two hours later
after reviewing pages on MS, I find a note on using
W2KSP3.exe for off-line apps but when I try to download
it, I get the standard SP3express.exe which is the same
file for installing when you have a web connection?

Anyone know how to install the SP3 when you do not have a
connection to the web? Thanks, Gary

You have 2 options:
1. download the ~128MB SP3 file (W2ksp3.exe), which is self installing.
2. buy a CD with that file on it from MS, for (I think) $5 or so to
cover shipping.
Both options are available at support.ms.com, the downloads area.
This file is very handy to have around for use on any machine anytime.
It's worth the trouble.
