How do I insert the PCX format picture (waveforms saved from Oscilloscope) to
Exel without converts to another format on Windows XP professional, thank you

Hello:

Search excel help for graphic format and you can see the list that Excel
supports, PCX is not on it. There is also an Office Converter Pack but I don't
think the format is on its list either.

Looks like you will need to find a converter. I think both Paint Shop Pro
and Photoshop will handle the file.

Office 2002 and Office 2003 do not include a .pcx graphics
filter. You can download the .pcx graphics filter that was
included with Office 2000 and earlier versions from Word MVP
Graham Mayor's website http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm .
Scroll about halfway down the page to the "File converter
downloads" section, and choose "PCX graphics filter for Word
2003". Once you install the filter, it will also be available in
Excel.
