I inserted an avi file into the powerpoint and added a text box to have the
text displayed when I run the powerpoint. But when I run the avi file, the
text disappeared. Can anyone help?

It all depends on how it is worded - a suing (and) animated GIF is not the
same as a suing (animated GIF).

And the dictionary finds no instance of the word "suing".

You might want to clarify if you misspelled it intentionally or by
oversight.

This seems interesting:

Geetesh,

It was the mis-spelling of "using". And suing is spelt right according to
the Macquarie Dictionary (1985):

"Suing"... to institute legal proceedings.

So suing an animated gif is to institute legal proceedings against the said
animated gif. Hence the humour. Perhaps no-one follows my humour because
no-one knows Aussie as she is spoke <g>?

"Suing" is one of the few place names NOT spelled Macquarie or Sturt, isn't it?

I thought it was a kind of music. Benny Goodman. Tommy Dorsey. Oh, and of
course Count VBAsie and Glen Millar.

Sigh. GIFs are the unsuing heroes of our era.
