How do I insert progress dots in my Power Point?

I am trying to insert progress dots in my Power Point presentation, which
allow you to view the progress each slide is in the whole presentation. Can
someone tell me how to do this? I have Microsoft Office 2007, so it may be
different for the new PowerPoint vs. the older version. Thanks!
 
If I understand what you're attempting, it would be easiest to put a series
of dots (circles) along the bottom of the slides, i.e., one on the first
slide, two on the second, three on the third and so on.
