The problem is Microsoft 2007 NO LONGER provides an 'X BAR 'symbol for Stats.
There is an X and a BAR that is designed to sit over the X but when you do
that you erase the X. Does anyone know how to make them 'cohabitate'?????
Or a few key strokes to produce an X-Bar from yesteryear???????

There was an X bar before now with all the sophistication it seems to have
dropped off and when i try to insert it from old files I get nothing
literally!!!

Susan - In Office 2003, you do an Insert, Object, and choose Microsoft
Equation x.0, which opens the MS Equation Editor subprogram. You can find the
x-bar symbol (and a host of others) in there. If the Equation Editor does not
show as an option in Insert, Object, then you will need your Office program
disks to add that feature. (See Insert and Equation in MS Word Help for more
details.)

Hope that helps.

I'm not familiar with the X bar, which is why I was asking how you did it
before. If it was using Equation Editor, I think John K's response is
correct. If it was using some other manner, then please provide details.
