How do I insert a slideshow photogallery in Front Page?

I am working on preparing a fun site that I have to have for a class, and I
want to have a new way to display my photos. I tried to add a photogallery,
and my layout was 'slideshow'. It would appear fine on my front page, but
when I saved it and checked out my webpage, it does not appear. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!
 
Jack - Do the following:
1. Open a new page.
2. Click on "Insert" "Picture" "New Photo Gallery"
3. Make sure you have your pictures imported or saved to your OPEN web.
4. Click "Add" and then begin inserting the pictures into your photo gallery.
5. Click "OK" and publish.
6. Provide a link to your photogallery page.
