Hello. If someone could tell me how to increase the number of files shown
under the "Window" menu (just above the toolbar on the same line as "File")
in Microsoft Word, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The limit is 9 and then you get a 'more' option for the rest. Do you need
more than 9 documents open at once? With recent versions of Word and Windows
XP, the open documents are all listed under Word on the Windows taskbar. I
don't recall ever needing to use the Windows menu for this.

I do. I am cutting and pasting stuff from one main file to various other
files of which there are more than 9 files and it's a big inconvenience to
have to hit "more" to get to some of the files.

Thanks for replying.

Have you considered a program such as Notetab Light?
Depends on which/what Word formats are used, but you
can open an unlimited number of documents and switch
between them easily and paste, cut, revise, etc. to
all, one, some,etc. etc..

Just a thought - if lots of Word formatting, it won't
work though. NOT an MS product!

I did what I needed to do so there's no need for it now. But thanks for the
suggestion.
